orbutton is a YouTube playlist crossfade player. It has no user accounts and no backend server of its own — this page explains exactly what little data exists and where it lives.
localStorage) — never sent to us, because there is no "us" to send it to: your crossfade/fade-duration/volume settings, your current queue and playback position, your sleep-timer preference, and, if you choose to enter one, your own YouTube Data API v3 key.If you paste in your own YouTube Data API v3 key (only needed to import a full playlist by URL), it is stored solely in your browser's local storage and used only to call Google's API directly from your browser. It is never transmitted to any server operated by orbutton.
Playback happens through the official YouTube IFrame Player API, embedded directly from YouTube. When you load or play a video, YouTube/Google receives the same information they would if you watched the video directly on youtube.com, governed by Google's own Privacy Policy. orbutton has no visibility into and no control over that data.
Since everything lives in your browser's local storage, clearing it (or your browser's site data for this page) removes it completely. There is nothing stored anywhere else to delete.
If this ever changes — for example, if a future version adds an account system or server-side storage — this page will be updated to reflect it before that change ships.
